Born in Geneva on 7 September 2011, Lucas Chiche is a Swiss pianist who has already performed on some of the world’s leading concert stages. He began playing the piano at the age of four with Evgenia Pilyavina. At the age of six, he entered the prestigious Geneva Conservatory of Music and, a year later, joined the Musimax programme for gifted young musicians. He currently studies with Mladen Tcholitch and receives regular artistic guidance from Mira Marchenko.

Lucas gave his first concerto performance with orchestra at the age of seven. Since then, he has performed in renowned venues including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Zaryadye Hall, Salle Gaveau in Paris, the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, Svetlanov Hall, the Seoul Arts Center, and many others...

As a soloist, he has appeared with the CMG Symphony Orchestra, Divertimento Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese, Orchestre Lamoureux, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia “Evgeny Svetlanov”, the Moscow Virtuosi and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, collaborating with conductors including Vladimir Spivakov, Dmitry Jurowski, John Axelrod, Sergey Ostrovsky and Adrien Perruchon.

A laureate of numerous international competitions, Lucas won the Rondo International Competition (2019, 2020), the SJMW Swiss Competition (2021), the London Young Musician Competition (2022) and the Geneva Baroque Competition (2023). In 2024, he received the Special Prize at the Grand Piano Competition and was invited by the jury to perform a recital at the École Normale de Musique de Paris – Salle Cortot.

In 2022, Lucas was a finalist of Prodiges on France 2. In 2025, he performed at Les Victoires de la Musique Classique on France 3 and was selected as one of Classic FM UK’s Rising Stars 2025. In 2026, he became the recipient of the Arkady Fomin Scholarship (USA), was selected for the Verbier Festival Soloists Academy – Junior Programme, and was featured in the book 50 Amazing Young Swiss: Fearless Dreamers.

The summer of 2026 marked an important stage in his artistic development. At the Verbier Festival Academy, he performed at the Église de Verbier and worked in masterclasses with Minsoo Sohn, Klaus Hellwig, Claudio Martínez Mehner, and Nikolai Lugansky in addition to previous work with Nelson Goerner, Mikhail Voskresensky, Ricardo Castro, Cédric Pescia, and Elisabeth Leonskaja.

An enthusiastic chamber musician, Lucas has collaborated with violinists Joshua Brown and Igor Pikayzen, and violists Lyda Chen Argerich and Masumi Rostad, and cellists Denis Shapovalov and Fabian Broman Crawford-Phillip.

In 2026, Lucas further expanded his international concert activity with performances at the North Shore Chamber Music Festival in Chicago and the Classical Bridge Festival in Seoul.

Alongside his performing career, Lucas is the creator and host of Fortissimo, an interview series featuring leading artists of the international music scene, including Martha Argerich, Alexandre Kantorow, Ricardo Castro and Yulianna Avdeeva.
