BIOGRAPHY

 

Born in Geneva on the 7th of September 2011, Lucas Chiche is a young concert pianist whose passion for music began at the age of 4 with Evgenia Pilyavina. At the age of 6, he entered the prestigious Geneva Conservatory of Music, and a year later joined the Musimax programme for gifted children. He is in Mladen Tcholitch's class and is a regular participant at the International School of M. Marchenko.
Lucas has already won many prestigious international competitions, including the Rondo International Competition (2019 and 2020), the SJMW Swiss Competition (2021), the London Young Musician (2022), and the Geneva Baroque Competition (2023).
In 2024, the jury of the Grand Piano Competition (Russia) awarded him the Special Prize and invited him to give a recital at the École Normale de Musique de Paris - Salle Cortot.

In 2022, he distinguished himself as a finalist in the ‘Prodiges’ competition on France 2. This performance brought him to the attention of a wide audience.
In 2025, he was invited to perform at the Victoires de la Musique Classique on France 3, consolidating his reputation as a promising young artist.
In 2025, Lucas was selected for the International « Rising Stars » selection by Classic FM in the UK, highlighting the most promising musicians under the age of 30. 

In 2026, he became the recipient of the Arkady Fomin Scholarship in the US. 

In 2026, Lucas is selected for the Verbier Festival Soloist Academy – Junior Programme. 

In 2026, Lucas was included in the book 50 Amazing Young Swiss: Fearless Dreamers, highlighting fifty remarkable young talents and innovators from Switzerland.

Lucas has already performed in such world-renowned venues as New York's Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall, Geneva's Victoria Hall, Moscow's Tchaikovsky Philharmonic Hall, Tchaikovsky Conservatory Hall, Zaryadye Hall, Paris's Salle Gaveau, St. Petersburg's Philharmonic Hall, Svetlanov Hall, Seoul Arts Center, and many others. Whether as a soloist or accompanied by prestigious orchestras such as the CMG Symphony Orchestra, Divertimento, the Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese, Orchestre Lamoureux, State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia "Evgeny Svetlanov", the Moscow Virtuosi, and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under Maestro V. Spivakov, D. Jurowski, J. Axelrod, S. Ostrovsky, A. Perruchon, and many others... Lucas impresses with his talent and musical maturity.
He has also taken masterclasses with renowned musicians such as N. Goerner, M. Voskresensky, R. Castro, and E. Leonskaya.

In 2026, Lucas continued to expand his international concert activity with performances in the United States and South Korea, appearing at the North Shore Chamber Music Festival near Chicago and the Classical Bridge Festival in Seoul.
